These boards are glued up on the edge grain, which prevents warping and twisting of the board over time. All boards have an ergonomic 45 degree bevel on the underside for ease of handling. At a hefty 1.5 inches thick, it will feel sturdy in your hands and on the counter. End Grain Board
Constructed with Black Walnut and Hard Maple wood, these boards are meant to keep your knives straight and sharp. Imagine cutting a tree down and looking into the stump. On a microscopic level, you would see each grain as a small circle - this is the orientation of the wood on these boards. Your knife would cut in between these grains rather than across them, which will help maintain a sharp blade edge and prevent your blade from chipping. Each board is sealed and protected using mineral oil, beeswax, and coconut oil.
Medium (10x14) - $155
Large (12x16) - $185
X-Large (14x18) - $215

To clean your board, simply use water and a small amount of soap to remove any food remnants. Be sure to wash BOTH sides, to prevent the wood from warping or cracking. Washing on both sides ensures that water evaporates evenly from the board, maintaining its flat shape.
Every now and then, I recommend using a product called Walrus Oil to recondition the board. This is just a mixture of beeswax and coconut oil, which will prevent the board from soaking up water and improve the lifespan of the board. If you use the board every day, recondition with Walrus Oil about once every month.

This is not advisable, because the heat may warp the board. Clean the board using water and a small amount of soap. Make sure that you wash both sides at the same time, even if the bottom isn’t dirty!

1.5” edge or end grain cutting boards will last much longer than traditional face grain boards. As long as you care for them and treat them well, they’ll last for years of memories in the kitchen.

This may be the result of consistently only washing one side of the board, or placing the board in the dishwasher. Simply bring or ship the board back, and as long as it’s still in fairly decent shape I will fix it for $10 plus shipping if applicable.
